Aeralis, Aerogility to Develop Digital Enterprise Model for Light Aircraft Services

UK-based aerospace company Aeralis has signed a memorandum of understanding with artificial intelligence (AI) developer Aerogility to develop a digital enterprise platform supporting light military aircraft services.

The platform will aid the production and sale of Aeralis’ aircraft services and digital products and is expected to optimize aircraft offerings, costs, and availability for defense customers.

“Aerogility will utilise its innovative and proven model-based AI capabilities to simulate the dynamics of the AERALIS entry into the market and disruption of legacy service offerings with this transformational aircraft,” Aerogility CEO Gary Vickers said.

“We are delighted with the opportunity to contribute our capabilities to forecast, plan, and optimise future strategies and operational options, and we are very much looking forward to working with the AERALIS team.”

New Military Jet

According to Aeralis, the agreement supports a more extensive collaboration with other industry partners to deliver a new military jet for British defense.

Firms facilitating the initiative include Siemens, Thales, Martin-Baker, Hamble Aerostructures, and Atkins.

“Building on the strength of our current partnerships this [memorandum of understanding] demonstrates that AERALIS will be working with the best-in-class in AI software to enhance our Digital Enterprise Model.”

Other Contracts With Aeralis

Aeralis is also engaged with aerospace solutions provider AirTanker and Ascent Flight Training in the second phase of a three-year contract supporting UK Royal Air Force flight training.

Aeralis is also working on an $11-million contract to reduce costs and risks for British light military aircraft development programs, such as the Global Combat Air Program and Future Combat Air System.
