Brelyon, ZMicro to Develop ‘Ultra Reality’ Tech for Military Training, Simulation

American technology firms Brelyon and ZMicro have announced a strategic partnership to develop an “Ultra Reality” rugged display for a variety of military applications.

ZMicro will license Brelyon’s Ultra Reality technology to create a large-format display for defense applications, including training, simulation, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.

The device leverages the latest technical advances in novel physics and computational optics to generate an immersive panoramic virtual screen and engulf the viewer without the need for a headset.

Additionally, its massive screen comes in a compact form, making it ideal for space-constrained applications such as training for ground combat vehicles or remote command and control centers.

“Today’s monitors can take up a lot of space and are not immersive,” Brelyon Chief Operating Officer Alok Mehta said.

“Through our partnership with ZMicro, we will be able to bring a much richer and more productive viewer experience to end-users of deployed military applications.”

He further stated that the Ultra Reality display has better resolution, eye comfort, and image size than other existing display solutions, making it suitable for the defense industry’s growing need for high-performance displays.
